Street Team: Terms and Conditions

  • The HomeBase Promotions Street Team (a.k.a. "Tha Block Party") is a team of GO-GETTER internet-street promoters. You must know how to promote both online AND offline (in the streets), and you must know how to multi-task and keep up with rapidly changing promotions. If you are not a "go-getter" or do not know what a "go-getter" is, OR if you only check your email once per week, OR if you find yourself often confused and feeling "out of the loop", then you are on the wrong team (sorry)!

  • There is never "nothing" to promote when the internet is concerned. We are internet-street promoters, with an emphasis on INTERNET promotions. If there is not an event or street level promotion going on in your city, then it is your responsibility as a regular Street Team member to be proactive and post to the board, help recruit new street team members/HUN members, or to find out what we are promoting online and help promote it.

  • Promotions Weekend (Effective as of 09/01/07). Promotions Weekend is designed to promote our projects and the projects of HUN members. Promoting in unison will show our target audience that we know "how" to promote well, and it will also generate new business leads. It will run every weekend of the month (Fri, Sat, and Sun), with peak times from 8:00PM-10:00PM (in your local timezone). You will earn double referral commissions from any new business leads that you generate during Promotions Weekend. For codes to post during Promotions Weekend, refer to www.homebasepromo.com/promote.html.

  • Project Leads and Street Team Managers are responsible for keeping your team busy with things to do. If they fail at their task, then the whole team fails, and HomeBase Promotions fails. It is your responsibility to help your Lead or Manager to also stay on task and help out when you can.

  • As a member of the Street Team, you are required to participate in at least one mandatory conference call meeting and one meet & greet per month (where applicable in your area). Conference meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month. In-person meetings and Meet/Greets are usually held on Friday or Saturday nights. They may also be held on weekday nights.

  • You are required to report your activities once every two weeks (more often during high peak times) to your Lead. Activities should be posted on the board. Failure to report activities or to communicate with your Lead on a regular basis may result in dismissal.

  • Compensation will vary per assignment. Where monetary compensation is not being offered, other incentives or freebies will.

  • When working an assignment or project, you may be required to fill out and return a signed written agreement. For these assignments, you will not only be considered a Street Team member, but also as a contract employee of the company. Your position title will be specified at the time of the agreement along with the duration of the assignment.

  • As a member, you may change your Street Team nickname at anytime. Nicknames will be used to identify members within the company, and may also appear on promotional items that you distribute. You should identify all other members by their nickname.

  • Commissions that you earn from referrals will be paid on the 5th of every month for the previous month’s sales. Any commissions earned within the first five days of each month will get added to the next month’s commission. Minimum payout for commissions is $20.00. Any commissions that do not meet the minimum payout will get added to the next month’s commissions until the balance exceeds that amount. Commissions will be paid via PayPal (if available), check, or money order. If commissions are paid via check or money order, a $5.00 processing fee will be deducted from your total commission payout.

  • U.S. companies are required by federal law to report earnings in excess of $600.00 with the IRS. If your compensation exceeds $600.00 in a given calendar year, you will be required to provide HomeBase Promotions with your social security number for annual tax reporting, and you will be required to report your commissions to the IRS for income tax filing purposes. Refusal to provide your social security number for this purpose may result in dismissal.

  • You may terminate your Street Team membership at anytime. To terminate your Street Team membership, you must notify HomeBase Promotions in writing. This may be done in the form of a letter or email.

  • HomeBase Promotions reserves the right to terminate a Street Team's membership at anytime if we feel that a member has violated the rights or trust of the company in any way. This includes but is not limited to: disorderly conduct while representing the company at events, conflicts of interest with competitors, and misrepresenting the company, its affiliates, or sponsors. Each instance will be handled and resolved case-by-case.
